Recognizing that human health (including mental health via the human-animal bond phenomenon), animal health, and ecosystem health are inextricably linked, One Health seeks to promote, improve, and defend the health and well-being of all species by enhancing cooperation and collaboration between physicians, veterinarians, other scientific health and environmental professionals and by promoting strengths in leadership and management to achieve these goals.

Public Vet seeks to provide a minimum standard of care for all animals and care to each according to their needs.

Our Veterinary Health Events allow us to network with the communities we serve, provide life-saving care to the animals, and collect data on the disease load in the community.  The majority of emerging infectious diseases come from animal reservoirs.  By serving a large cross-section of the animal populations, we are able to identify and address the health needs of animal populations that pose the greatest risks to community health.
