What is the check-in process?
Clinics currently use a drive-thru style check-in process. Clients remain in their vehicles while staff assist each car in line.
How young can a kitten be spayed?
Kittens can be spayed or neutered as young as 6 weeks old. Female kittens can become pregnant as early as 4 months.
Do you offer declawing?
No. Public Vet does not offer declawing and is firmly opposed to the practice.
Why does Public Vet tattoo animals?
Animals spayed or neutered by Public Vet receive small identifying tattoos to prevent unnecessary repeat surgeries and help identify patients.
Do you provide dog services?
Canine services are currently available only at California clinic locations. Indiana and Ohio clinics currently provide feline services.
What if my cat is pregnant, in heat, or nursing?
Public Vet can spay female cats who are pregnant, in heat, or nursing. If she is nursing kittens that are not weaned, bring the kittens with her.
Does my pet need up-to-date vaccines?
Vaccinations are not required, but vaccines are offered on the day of the appointment for an additional charge.
